Installation

1. In your Admin panel, go to Appearance > Themes and click the Add New button.
2. Click Upload and Choose File, then select the theme’s .zip file. Click Install Now.
3. Click Activate to use your new theme right away.
or

1. Unzip .zip file and FTP it to your hosting server under wp-content/themes of your WordPress installation directory.

Theme`s Requirements

1. Default Pages (slugs: ‘niteo-about’, ‘niteo-portfolio’,’blog’, ‘artistico-fullpage’, ‘artistico-custom’) and default Menu (‘ArtistICO Primary’) is created after ArtistICO Theme activation. Please do not delete them or change their slug as they are required to run the Theme correctly.

2. Contact Form 7 is required to display Contact Form correctly.

Theme Basic Setup

1. In your Admin panel, go to Appearance enter the Customize section.

2. In Customizer go to Static Front Page, choose “A static page” default option as Front Page Displays, select “ArtistICO fullpage” as Front Page and “ArtistICO blogpage” as Post Page.

3. In Customizer go to Menus > Menu Locations and select “ArtistICO Primary” from a dropdown menu as your Primary Menu. You can add or delete Menu Links to ArtistICO Menu as you wish, just keep in mind if you want to keep page scrolling the default links must be in format: http://yourpage.com/#section (sections names are: #portfolio, #blog, ,#instagram, #contact, #custom).

4. In Customizer go to Site Builder, Fonts & Color and Enable all the Sections (Portfolio, Blog, Instagram, Contact and Custom section) you want to display on Main Page.
TIP – you can also change the order of the sections by “Drag and Drop” action..

5. To correctly Setup Contact Form, make sure you have installed Contact Form 7 Plugin from WordPress Repository and then create new Contact Form in WP Admin > Contact > Add New. You can leave the default code and Copy&Paste the Title of Contact form to WP Admin > Customizer > “Contact” section & Social > Contact Form 7 Title.

6. If you want to use our prepared Shortcodes for Text formatting and Masonry Gallery or Photo Sliders install Niteo Shortcodes Plugin in WP Admin > Appereance > Install Plugins.

7. If you want to use our prepared Widgets in Blog Sidebar (Instagram Widget and About Widget ) install Niteo Widgets Plugin in WP Admin > Appereance > Install Plugins.

Theme Basic Customization

1. In Customizer > Site Identity section > change “Site Title”, “Site Tagline”, “Upload Custom Logo”, “Insert About Paragraph” and “Site Icon”. You can also you HTML tags to format Tagline if you check “use HTML tags to format Tagline” checkbox. “About” text can be HTML formatted as well if you check “use formatted HTML content”, then just simply edit pre-created Page “About Me”.

2. In Customizer > Header Image > Change Header Image to Image Slider or Youtube Video. Also you can disable “ScrollDown” button or change it`s text.

3. In Customizer > Site Builder, Fonts & Colors section > select which sections to display on page (Portfolio, Blog, Instagram, Contact and Custom sections) and choose their order by drag and drop action. You can also customize Font, Background and Active Items`s colors and change the default Fonts (you can Insert any name of Google Font).

4. In Customizer > Portfolio section > edit Portfolio Header, show/hide Portfolio Description text, show/hide Portfolio Filters,  change Layout to Masonry, Mozaic 4:3 format size or Mozaic 1:1 size. Also you can change Number of columns and it`s spacing. Change how many Portfolios to show after first load of webpage, to increase loading speed time we recommend to set to 9 or 12 maximum.

5. In Customizer > Blog Section > change Header of Blog section, set how many latest posts to show on Mainpage and enable/disable sidebar on Blog page.

6. In Customizer > Instagram section > change Header of Instagram section, change text of Follow Me Button and insert your Instagram Token to display Instagram Feed.

7. In Customizer > Contact & Social section > edit your Contact Details and Update your Social Media settings.

Portfolio Setup

1. Create New Portfolio Category in WP Admin > Portfolios > Add New Category. Category name is also Name of Filter on MainPage.

2. Create New Portfolio WP Admin > Portfolios > Add New Portfolio. You can choose between “Lightbox” or “Full Page” Portfolio.

3. Insert Feature Image to display Thumbnail on MainPage in Portfolio section, and you can insert  Description both for Lightbox and FullPage Portfolio.

4. If you choose FullPage Portfolio, you can use classic Editor to insert any content, plus few custom fields like ‘Client’, ‘Website’, ‘Location’, or Custom field. Togerher with ‘Description’ they have special formatting on Full Page portfolio.

Google Analytics

1. To insert Code for Google Analytics we recommend install plugin Insert Headers and Footers and insert your custom GA code into Header. By this, you don`t loose any data when changing to different Theme.

Translation

1. Theme can be translated to any language. Translation file is in Theme/language folder, you can just simply edit the PO file. More info about translation is here.
